Royal Papworth Hospital is a leading heart and lung hospital, located in Papworth Everard in Cambridgeshire, England. It was home to the first successful heart transplant in the UK, the world's first successful heart, lung and liver transplant,and one of the world's first non-beating-heart transplants.

The Explore

Had my eye on this for a while and even went for a look when it was open to get a feel for the place. It is, like the others , huge and like a maze. Didn’t get bothered and seemed to be there before the movers and strippers took over.

Lots of wards, private wings, pathology, morgue, lecture theatre, nuclear medicine, critical care units, day wards, X-ray and operating rooms.

Ok firstly thanks for sharing, however I've moved it here (and given the OP access to view his own thread) for a couple of reasons and if anyone objects feel free to comment.

The N.H.S haven't stripped it yet, and it's not officially closed until the 9th or at least that was the original deadline.

It's had a bit of unwanted attention recently on the back of some guy posting it on facebook who worked there apparently passing it off as an explore and mini-tourbus imminently rocked up and there was some heat off the back of it, not that it's any of our business.

I just think it's only right to keep essentially LIVE N.H.S stuff away from the publicly viewable forum until it's proper stripped and becomes another Whitchurch, regardless of goons, that way nobody can get the arse, again it's not our problem as such.

That’s fine ;
Will it be moved to public after the 8th or will I have to post again please? Thank you

That's good for a modernised hospital. No photos of the mortuary or did I miss them?

News just in, it's already all over Facebook (again) :rolleyes:

A group run by Tazer Urbex, say no more!

It's not a "bando" flower, ffs!

If it wasn't for the whole N.H.S thing I wouldn't even be entertaining this nonsense anymore

I think keeping it NP for a little while is best for a named report. Yeah it's probably posted elsewhere on social media etc, either by the OP or others, but the powers that be are aware people have been going here and will be keeping an eye out. Only takes a Google search to find it here when it's not NP. It's best for the OP and just courteous for everyone else.

Well done for getting around as much as you did mate! It's moments like this that make me REALLY miss living down south! I'd have been on that like a rat up a drain pipe haha! All the NHS stuff up north is getting some serious police attention just now, which is making my life very tricky indeed. All thanks to the social media crowd, surprise surprise!
