London visit with Rookie and OneByOne
After deciding the same day to make the 200mile trip down to London we ended up hitting this place saturday morning.
This is located in what used to be London Docks before it closed and was one of London's largest flour mills. Three mills stood on the nine acre site, The two left are the larger Spiller's Millennium Mill and the smaller Rank Premier mill.
The Mills were built in 1905 but were abandoned in 1984 due the closure of the docks. The buildings have been used in several films and TV shows.
When we got there we thought it'd be an easy entrance to the building, but a few fences later and after wandering around the site trying to find a way in we realised that someone really doesn't want you in there, with security signs everywhere, some tall fences and employing some skilled workers with cordless drills.
After a few failed attempts Rookie found what looked be an easy way up, It didnt turn out so well for myself and OneByOne but managed it in the end.
Anyway such a good place and worth the amount of effort we spent on in getting in there, Its pretty stripped out inside except for the helterskelters
Few pictures;
