Report - Rural country house Surrey, England July 2020

On Friday 3rd July 2020, I set off cycling from my home in South London to Brighton. The only thing on my mind was completing the 55 mile ride within 5 - 6 hours. At around 26 miles in, way out in the surrey country side on a road, I pulled into a clearing to consult my map. The clearing lead to a farm gate with two 'Do not enter signs' and torn away police tape. I looked over the gate and in the distance appeared to be a very dilapidated looking country house surrounded by undergrowth. With nowhere to lock my bike I put it over my shoulder, climbed over the wall and walked towards the house.

To my surprise this is what I found.

1. The gate

2. Passage to entrance

3. Hallway, badly damaged by fire

4 . Living Room/Reception

5. fire place

6. Electric heater

7. House from back

8. Another room (Sealed off)

9. Fire damaged mobile home

10. Shed/Work shop

11. Truck trolley at back of the house

12. 4 x shipping containers sit behind the house

13. 1st shipping container, carrying boxes of official documents relating to aeroplane engineering.

The year of this document is 1997

A locked safe in the 3rd container

Hammer rests on top of safe

Redundant tools at back of 3rd container

4th container is empty

This was a complete chance encounter and not bad at all considering I had only gone out for a bike ride that day.

I'm an aviation enthusiast as well as an urbexer and I would love to see that stuff. Relating to an air France Airbus and gives the reg... I will have to see if she's still in service !

how cool is that. I work in Aircraft Interiors, used to work for Britax Rumbold. Sell was a sister company based in Hamburg who specialised in the design and manufacture of Galleys and Stowages. The first document is a set in installation instructions that would tell the airline how to install the Galley into the Aircraft. Love to know the story as to how it ended up in surrey. Maybe the owner work for Sell or the Airline?

I don't know. I've tried looking for information on the house but cannot find anything.

Ohh this is the place people called Swan House or Little Bonners. I think Little Bonners may have been its actual name but I'm not sure so please din't hold me to it! Lots of false names get chucked about its hard to keep up!

Fire was pretty recent, only past couple of months back I'm sure of it. Was actually a fairly decent place prior to that if I remember rightly!

I went to see how it was doing a few weeks post-arson and you could smell the burning from wayyyyyyy up the road! Nasty stuff!

Interesting to see it now, albeit sad that someone has decided to burn the place but you knownice report though and great pics!

I'm not too sure no, sorry about that! The earliest reports on here and other places I have seen from it seem to be around Summer 2018, but of course it could have been empty before then!
