History:

Rylands Mill consists of various large buildings which were designed by George Woodhouse in 1866. It served as mill, carrying out textile work before the industry simmered out across the country. Along came 1985, where Wigan Technical College used it as a campus, for which is stayed this way until 2007 when it closed. A part of the campus was demolished recently leading people to believe that the same thing may happen to the remaining site. Nowadays, the buildings are in a pitiful state due to natural decay and numerous arson attacks and other sorts of damage and erosion..

Our Visit:

Upon arriving at the location, we had no problems and were able to explore in peace. Our only questioning encounter was a human like moan of some sort which I was unable to catch on camera unfortunately.
