History:
Designed by the architectural practice of Bradshaw, Gass & Hope this brick and Portland stone building was opened in 1957. Following amalgamation of forces within Greater Manchester in 1974 it continued to operate as the GMP Salford Division Headquarters until its closure in 2008.

Explore:
Access was relatively easy but still had a small challenge to it. Once in you’re in the whole building as it all links and no internal bits are locked. Was a really good explore although it is a shell and apart from the impressive cells there isn’t too much to see. This still makes for an interesting explore loads of floors and underground levels and endless corridors. There was a bed and some tins of food in one of the cells which could be a rough sleeper or someone who used to sleep in there so please take caution if you go. Enjoy the pictures.

Nice update. I always feel strange on a mooch with cells, being able to roam and nose, without being in one lol :thumb

Hi there,

I went to check this place out yesterday but had some trouble getting in. I was hoping someone would be able to tell me if this metal sheeting is new or not? (see pic)

All the best :)
