The Isle of Wight is a funny old place. Some say it's perpetually 30 years behind the rest of the UK.

Whilst pretty much the entire rest of the Britain ran a 2 teir school system, primary and secondary, the Island stuck with their old 3 teir system up until 2010.

We don't like change down here.

With the eventual restructuring of the islands educational system several of the previously used school buildings were left 'surplus to requirements' - and here we have one of them -

The Explore

There are some places that, for various reasons, can't be explored at will. This place is one of those.

When it first closed the school was left wide open for a few weeks and the local kids got all smashy smashy with the windows. There wasn't much other damage but since then the school has been locked down pretty tight. It took a bit of planning to get in and out of this place without being noticed, regular stops to recognise the car the security guard drives, knowing when he's on site or not, knowing where to check - Luckily for us he keeps a fairly regular schedule.

Because of the timing this was another solo explore - who needs sleep anyway - and apologies for the over use of the fisheye, just getting used to it ;)

I went to school on the Isle of Wight and my school had that exact same Octagon shape music room.

Everyone overuses their fisheye whilst they're "getting used to it" ;)
It doesn't look bad in some of these pics though, nice report

Nice shots considering it was nighttime. Not keen on the fish eye for this type of explore personally though, it feels like I'm looking at the school through a submarine periscope.
