This was advertised as a trip to a secret nuclear bunker, in August 2016, but it actually turned out to be a pair of bunkers attached to a chemical works, to be used if there was a major incident in the works. One bunker, under the first building was for the management, and the other, in an adjacent building was for the workers. I only had my phone with me so picture quality is not great, and I didn’t take many pictures in the bunkers. However on the way out, our guide mentioned that the soviet-style building above was about to be redeveloped, so we asked if we might have a look round. We weren’t supposed to, but then…
The main courtyard:
The first bunker contained a collection of communication equipment, some of it just stacked on shelves:
Others much as installed:
The corridor between the two bunkers:
Then the fun began. We made our way upstairs:
Across the hall:
Through the lounge:
In to the main hall:
The gallery:
The ceiling:
The floor:
I’m afraid my Polish isn‘t good enough to translate this wall plaque:
The waiting areas were a bit severe:
Enlivened only by some “modern art”
This seemed to be the control centre:
With a nice tape recorder:
