The Visit
Solo explore one evening in May.. I was very surprised by the level of security here, I counted 5 guys at one point!! Access was tricky to say the least and really gets the heart pumping when you can see security from so many windows.. spent around an hour or so and then noticed secca going into the building on the far side from me so decided to quit while I was ahead and get out of there.. really nice to see a hospital not destroyed with graffiti! The operating theatres still smell of that sterile smell :)
A few more pics than I would normally post sorry...
The History
The first buildings on the site of Selly Oak Hospital were those of the King’s Norton Union Workhouse. It was a place for the care of the poor and was one of many workhouses constructed throughout the country following the introduction of the Poor Law Amendment Act of 1834. This act replaced the earlier system of poor relief, dating from 1601
It was announced on 24 February 2015 that contracts had been exchanged for the sale and redevelopment of residential housing on the site. The site already had outline planning permission for 650 homes

A few less pics than you should post I'd say lol

Nicely shot & you managed to see you did the bit we couldn't get into for silly levels of defence at that time.
Secca were living on site when we called down as we found out when one went for a early morning.slash ard we were outside the toilet window lol

Better than having to sneak around the Gypsy caravans like we did before their Dogs starting kicking off lol Everything was wide open till then . We didn't know they'd forced onto the site we thought it was a caravan club meet ;)

Funny how they always go.round in pairs here, must be insecure or scared of people in Masks lol

I"m sure Secca will thank you for informing them of the exact day of your visit :thumb helps them pin the blame of any damage onto someone & whether they need to beef security up more etc etc
