Report - Severalls Hospital, Colchester - February 2012

Visited with whodareswins.

This place has been pretty popular recently, being one of the last asylums left. Although it is pretty empty, still makes for a great explore and would totally recommend it so anyone who hasn't seen it yet, before it really is too late.

We didn't see any security of any kind, but those fences are beastly. However we could see tyre tracks in the snow which implies that a vehicle had been round by the fence very recently. Took us a while to find a suitable place but after getting over both, we were in!

Time was against us so didn't have time to do it all, although to do it all would take quite a while anyway, the place is just mahoosive, almost got lost when it came to leaving in the dark.

Certainly a lot of corridors, which I like as you will be able to see from the photos!

I will certainly be back here, no doubt about it. Got to finish what we started!

This was an incredible explore and well worth missing our coach home!!! We were stumped by the paliside fence for a while but once we figured out a good spot it was surprisingly easy.

Been wanting to do this for a while and I was not let down. Just wish we had more time but by the time we reached the water tower it was getting pretty dark and focusing was getting difficult. We had a good look about but just couldn't figure out how to get into the tower. I did almost step in about two foot of water at one point! FYI the basement is flooded .
