This was once a brewery, but was bought by Shipstone and just used as a maltings serving the main brewery in Nottingham. Inside has remained very original, with only the malt drying floor being modernized. Stanley's tiles have been replaced with a metal grid, and the high roof usually found in a malting floor has been demolished and replaced with a smaller tower housing a modern dryer.
Boby Ltd, of barrow fame fitted the maltings out through and through with plant and conveyers.
