They are closing Snibstone which is a shame, It has become run down and is not as popular any more.
And so it costs so much to run the decision was taken to close it :(
I know they are keeping a small part of it as a mining museum , and the rest will be got rid of for housing.

considering its close proximity to the town centre and the fact that its in Coalville, its either gonna be seccaed up to fuck or the local inbreds are gonna smash the shit out of it pretty quickly. It'd be a double whammy as its a former mine turned theme park, but i'm not optimistic on this one.

Just think how cool it would be, but your right plus houses are quite close as well hence why they are getting rid of it to build more housing.

But if anyone does go, two bits of advice 1- get your vacines beforehand and 2- don't talk to the locals, they're not normal. casting for "the hills have eyes" and "wrong turn" was done in coalville

I'd suggest they will keep the lamp room, which IMO is the only part of the place that was any good in the first place.

Myself and others have climbed the headstocks when the place was open anyway so other than seeing a shed that was once full of interactive crap I don't think there is much mileage in the place if it does become derelict!
