After doing some research about Bushy hill radar station, I came across this tread on here showing a nearby ROC post:

I sent the photos to a mate and we quickly decided that we should go (the very next day I may add). We both hadn't known that there was an ROC there and after a time was established, we both set off.

As found:

Since 2012, (last report on this place I could find) the concrete cover has somehow vanished without a trace, but the lid still remained.

Inside:

920893

Unfortunately, since 2012, it has since gone downhill with rubbish, small fires, vandalism and a smoke grenade taking it's toll.

The rubbish on the table was moved there by me to make the place a bit less forlorn. I also moved a door from the floor and up against the wall.

(someone was passionate about this place at some point at least)

920897

Bilge pump (reported to still be functioning in 2012) now gone.

As we left it:

Surrounding areas:

Overall, it was an interesting place to have a look around, and I'd recommend it if you were in the area. Does anyone know where I should post about a type 80 radar station?

A nice local one to me! Went here back in early 2013 (as pictured below), then again in 2018 only to find a load of beehives around it. Presumed it to have been demolished - strange why they did a half-arsed job, but glad it's still there. Cheers for sharing :)

It's interesting to see it before the top was demolished, it's hard to see but the surrounding areas are surrounded in a thick layer of thorn bushes, and the wire fence has been cut and the posts have been left in place.
