Derelict Edge Lane church could be given second lease of life
A LANDMARK Liverpool church which has lain derelict since a bid to renovate it fell through could be given a second lease of life.
St Cyprian’s church, in Edge Lane, once had a thriving congregation but numbers dwindled over the years.
It is now surrounded by the remains of demolished houses.

Today, these photos taken inside show original features lying broken on the ground, the organ almost smashed in two and masonry falling from the walls.

But the Anglican diocese hit back, slamming “lobby groups who stand on the sidelines making demandsâ€￾ but coming up with no financial help.
It said it was in talks with a company which specialises in restoring historic buildings, but would not confirm whether the building would reopen as a church.
