INTRODUCTION
This explore was totally unplanned. I was a little bored so I decided to go to strawberry fields to see what its like so I got the bus down walked down to it (on the way noticing an open construction site gate) and then realised that it pretty much isn't a thing any more it has been replaced by a horrible modern visitor center with a gift shop inside and a 10 squid entrance fee and signs referring to the entrance prices as 'donations'... donation my arse. After being overcome with emotions of ANGER and FURY I walked back up towards that gate I saw earlier and it suddenly went from sunny to bucketing it down (British weather for you) I had no hood so had to crouch next to a wall in the 5mm gap where the wall blocks the rain, I might of looked like an idiot to passing cars but I'm not getting fucking wet. I then came across the gate I saw earlier and I know that you shouldn't say how you entered but the gates fucking open what can I say.
After entering I walked up to...
…but FIRST here is some history!

HISTORY
Built in 1828, the three-story Manor House known then as as Knolle Park was acquired to be used as a children's home in the early 1900s, initially being ran by an order of Roman Catholic nuns. After the outbreak of the First World War in 1914, the German sisters returned to their homeland and were replaced by The Poor Servants of the Mother of God. The location was renamed Knolle Park Children's Home in the 1960s and 1970s, and various improvements were undertaken, including the construction of a number of huts and expansions that were used as a nursery and children's home.
The convent was ultimately closed for good in 2010. In 1975, it was designated as a Grade II listed structure for the first time.

There is some basic history of the place but sadly like many children's homes across the country Knolle Park Children's Home Was less of a safe haven for children and more of a safe haven for paedophiles.

John Christian, a voluntary worker at St Gabriel's Convent was arrested and imprisoned in February 1998 for sexually abusing boys at the home for over 2 decades. John lived and worked on the site from the late 60s until 1987, residing in an onsite lodge. According to the court many of Johns crimes were committed inside of the lodge but this didn't stop John from committing his crimes in the dormitory's and the lounge of knolle park, 14 boys were subjected to Johns abuse at his time at the home.

BBC REPORT
''Fourteen people who claim they were abused at a children's home run by nuns are to seek compensation at the High Court.
Peter Garsden, the solicitor representing the 14, is expected to press for compensation in excess of £50,000 at Manchester High Court on Tuesday.
The claim comes after Andrew Christian, a voluntary worker at St Gabriel's Convent in Liverpool, was jailed for 11 years last February for indecently assaulting 13 boys.
Mr Christian worked at the home from 1967 to 1985.
Mr Garsden claims the nuns knew the abuse was going on, but "chose to turn a blind eye".
The 14 claimants were aged between 10 and 16 when they were at the home, which is also known as Knolle Park Children's Home.
The 14 include some of the 13 that Christian was convicted of abusing and others who came forward as a result of the investigation.

Blind eye.
Mr Garsden said: "We are claiming the management systems at the home were not as good as they should have been and that the managers knew what was going onat St Gabriel's knew what was going on."
He expects the case to take at least two years to come to trial.
The conviction of Christian, who was homeless, came after a huge investigation by Merseyside Police known as Operation Care.
St Gabriel's, which is no longer used as a children's home, is one of nine such institutions in the north west of England which have been the subject of compensation claims over alleged abuse.''

EXPLORE
Now that I have ruined your day its now time to do the explore.
After entering it looked like an empty construction site but after noticing a fence, that was missing loads of panels, I decided to go though.
''hmmmmm... wonder whats hiding behind those trees?''

I then saw a grand white manor house with scaffolding covering the façade.
1655032315536.jpg

I did notice a bunch of high school kids that were leaving when i arrived. reminded me of when i was in Yr 7 and went round exploring an abandoned mansion after school. (btw that was really cool place but has been demolished and replaced by ugly flats as it wasn't listed.)

1655032663786.jpg

Now to go inside.
1655032941450.jpg

1655033141289.jpg

As you can see from the top of the image the roof looks weak and deteriorating.

1655033191333.jpg

I really like the light of this shot the l like the way the greenery makes the green ambient light and floods it into the corridors.
1655033342248.png

Apparently that's a proper heavy toilet...
1655034018009.jpg

Trap door to basement (looks like a medieval dungeon)
1655034124154.jpg

some sort of cabinet maybe this used to be some kind of kitchen.
1655034192692.jpg

although this isn't the normal kind of design for a kitchen. Also i like the deteriorating wallpaper it looks really cool.

1655034585854.jpg

Oh Fucknell look at the ceiling that's where I where I was standing moment earlier. What a weird basement though... (take note of the 2 doors)
1655034860449.jpeg

Sorry for the blurry image but here you can see the 2 doors on the outside.
1655034900698.png

There you can see there is a little cave to get into that part with the basement doors.
1655034970693.jpg

I like the sun though all the scaffolding and the graininess of the image.
1655035034456.jpg
