History gathered from finding what i could off the Internet.

History is very sketchy and very difficult to find for this specific hospital.
I have read that it opened in 1913 and was used for treatment of TB and more specifically the doctors practiced in the field of Orthopedics.
Some literature i have read shows Bone Lengthening operations and such like performed on Children, all not very pleasant to be honest.

The Hospital was seconded by the war office in WW1 and was known as Warwickshire VAD 17.
It began seeing Military use on the 21st May 1915 the unit was attatched to the 1st Southern General Hospital.

Original picture of hospital from Coleshill Archives.

I,m still not convinced that the actual building everybody seems to be calling the hospital was in fact the St Gerard's Childrens Hospital.
I personally think its the live buildings on site and the location being photographed is nothing more than out buildings used in case of over spill or for storage capacity.
This said i could be mistaken but history and pictures seem to be none existent and very hard to come by.
