Is the water tower still accessible? Or even still there? It was basically a giant bird nesting box on stilts. Stunk to high heaven in the top, great views though.

The water tower was demolished a good few years ago now sadly.

Ah. I did wonder as I couldn't spot it in the background of any of those shots. It wasn't exactly an inspiring piece of architecture (imo), but not entirely hideous. It certainly hadn't been built with any consideration of a nod to the rest of the place.

These pigeons are long gone now I'm afraid. Two of them were refurbished and turned into parakeets, while the other pigeon was found to have been born in the 1960s and therefore its wings and beak were made of asbestos, so that pigeon was demolished.
What about the brown one? Often wondered what became of him?
