Hi my name is Adam, I'm from Wigan (Manchester), and here's my first 'report' on this forum, i've been on 28DaysLater for about a year but I've never posted anything, so here goes...

Yesterday i explored the popular Orphanage 'St. Joseph's', it was great, there was very little ways into the building so we had to climb up a storey to get into a small window, which had a door on the other side for people to get down, so it was a known way in.

This is the side of the building as we were walking to the window we entered into.

When we got inside, the window in the room in front of us led to this view, it was pretty cool to see for myself after seeing photos and videos of it from many different people.
Although we would have liked to go to the top of the tower, we couldn't find a way up, maybe next time...

The chapel is probably my favourite room inside the whole place, not because i'm religious but because it looks really cool, apart from the fire damage due to idiots who ruin Urbex, it's a pretty sweet room.

This is the chapel from the outside.

Keeping with the religious theme, this 'Praised Be Jesus Christ' mosaic and chair really make a good photo, i'm actually surprised it's not been smashed up as it looks like a prime target for idiots to smash.

These two staircases, exactly the same, but completely different. It really shows what 60 years of water damage and neglect can do!

Here's one of my favourite photos of the explore, this was in one of the operating rooms.

My favourite thing in the whole place was this, it was much bigger than i anticipated from seeing videos, it's a shame people have to smash everything, all the glass from what was once those big bright bulbs is sitting on the floor...

Here's the other one in the next room.

Not quite sure what this is, but the turning wheel thing still works and locks the container when the hatch is shut, i just left it be though. At first i thought it was one of them things where they burn dead bodies but the chamber isn't big enough to fit a human, but it's big enough to fit a small child... spooky.

This sign was next to it.

And this was above the machine too.

Here's the X-Ray machines control panel, i knew it was an X-Ray machine because of this label next to it.

Sorry for being a bit blurry...

This was also in the room with the X-Ray machine. I hit my head on the roof bean when leaving, i thought if i was gonna hurt myself it wouldn't be hitting my head on the roof...

Now we're in what appeared to be the sitting room / community rooms or lounges, with chairs and such.

There was three of these rooms identical to one another directly above on the 3 floors.

This is a cabinet left in a patients room.

One of the corridors on the 2nd floor i think, pretty cool aesthetics if you ask me.

Well that's all i could think to write, i took more photos but they're all on my Instagram and Facebook and i also snapchat whilst exploring, i also have a youtube channel which i will post more Urbex things in the months coming, links below;

Thank you for reading, i hope i did an alright job i suppose?

Cheers A.

It's an autoclave used for sterilising medical equipment
