What a difference a few months make,

After seeing St Lukes in reports by jST and others plus the bonus off just been in the area looking at a few others leads me and drhowser headed off to have a nosy.

The place is now wrecked, the pikeys have been in full force, the only place left in a reasonable condition was the Chapel, the mortuary and kitchens are sealed, therefore might still be in a decent state.

A bit of History from various threads on here:

Based in and around the buildings of a former workhouse, the site is stepped over quite steep level changes. A three storey cruciform of 200m long glazed corridors serve and link the 1960’s blocks to the surrounding Victorian conversions. It was mainly used for Geriatric and Psychiatric care.

The decision to close the site and migrate the services to other locations was made in 2007, and the hospital was finally closed in dec 2010.

Thanks to jST for letting me use one of his pics from Jan for the comparison.
