I have posted 3 previous reports from 2016, so as a newbie on here, I thought I would now mix it up and post some 2017. My back catalogue is over 15 yrs. But I will try and stay with places still in existence. Shame I didn't join fully years ago, as I had some great explores of places no longer here.

Anyway one that is still here :) Not exactly huge, like I like my explores, but a little gem to be enjoyed if in the area.

Listed Grade I building. It is believed to have stood 850 yrs. Constructed mainly in flint and render the church includes re-used Roman tiles in its north-west corner.

The west doorway with its zig-zag decoration, dates from c.1150 and the long chancel from the 1200s, whilst the curious little south-west tower was rebuilt in red brick in 1807

The last recorded service here took place in 1971

Ok, better name and location, got it. But must ask why do I see so many threads just titled "abandoned house , Suffolk " ? . Just an example. But I don't want to break any rules being new and all. I just believe too much info leads to thieves, damage, and people just on here to lurk.

Anyway I will amend my title, or dont I have to now? as you have put the info up? Thanks for putting me right . :thumb

Must be careful on my wording in future, forgot how easy it is to find a place from quotes & exif ;)

Didnt check exif..just quotes mate..some of the "abandoned house" etc is where the house just doesn't have a name im guessing, that or that @Ojay is getting slack

Fair enough . Yep I guessed it was quotes as hoster removes co ordinates doesn't it? Thanks for heads up :D

No harm in a copy and paste,i used to change the wording a little so it looked like id had some previous knowledge about the place..

I did have previous knowledge, quite a bit really, could've easily written something myself, just being lazy. I know about the heart of a knight in the slab inside the church, I knew of a witches coven in the grounds, etc . Im a lazy reporter sometimes, but saves my energy for the explores as an old girl lol :D
