Report - St. Peter’s Hospital Mortuary, Chertsey - March 2019

As we were in the area at the weekend I wanted to visit here just to see it for myself, unfortunately the doorway has been concreted up now, there were other ways to gain accsss but I’m only 5ft with the flexibility of a newborn giraffe so didn’t want to risk broken limbs!
I’ve seen the pictures on here of when it first closed, was shocking seeing the state of it now, as a fairly new member I can fully respect and appreciate reluctance to share locations for this very reason.
Just a few pics to show the state of it.

Couldn’t agree more, I work in theatres for the nhs and make quite a few trips to the mortuary which is pretty state of the art, shocking comparison!

Jeeze that is a mess now.

There's a few other little ruined buildings hidden in the hedgerows in between here, Silverlands and Longcross... So many in such a small area!

I was surprised how much there is in such a small area. There’s an old building through the bushes at the back of the mortuary, it has what appears to be some kind of hanging pulley system in the ceiling, looked like cattle hooks hanging, not sure what that was used for but was interesting
