First stop off during a busy solo exploring day in Stoke.

The school was built in 1964 and added to over the years. In 2011 it merged with Berry Hill High School to become the St Peter's Academy. Eventually in 2013 the academy moved to a new 22 million pound building. The school was later used temporarily by Sutherland Primary Academy.

After a bit of squeezing and climbing I was in (and then seeing a much more obvious way in on the way out). There's been a couple of reports in the last few months, but the place is even more stripped and trashed now. The locals are doing a lot of curtain twitching and police have been called a few times due to the local tykes being seen throwing stuff around.

Very '60s looking exterior

Destroyed IT room

Most of the corridors and stairways featured huge hand painted scenes and murals. It seems such a shame the place will soon get flattened and they'll be gone.

The assembly hall and stage looked like a tazmanian devil had been through it, but was still quite photogenic

The sports hall with enormous weird bulge in the wooden floor

Quite ransacked, but plenty to see and a good two hour explore.

Nice report! Only just saw this. Went here in February and really enjoyed it. Definitely fairly trashed but I'm not surprised as the access wasn't particularly difficult. The technology bit was the worst hit IIRC. The sports hall, despite the bulge in the floor. Was probably the tidiest part. But enjoyed wondering around. Those murals were incredible and the majority of them not vandalised.

What's interesting was there was a kind of roof space storage area. Access by a door in an upstairs corridor. You could stand up in there. But it was dark. Lots of random items left in there, including a bath!

Thanks pal. Yeah I saw the hatch but didn't go up and regret it now!

It wasn't a hatch IIRC. Just an ordinary door on the top floor, which lead to the space. It was in the roof but in the side part of it, so the ceiling above slanted at an angle, it was big enough to walk around without crouching. If that makes any sense. It was mostly junk and christmas decorations. I didn't see a hatch myself. Possibly more storage!
