Many people have visited this site before and I thought it was time for me to take a trip down and have a look for myself. Gorecki and SimbaDoozle had visited seemingly only a couple of days before so I decided to hold off posting for a while. If you don't know about it (which i'm sure you all do), it was used to train priests in the 70s and 80s and was designed by the firm Gillespie, Kidd and Coia. It's only one of a few post-war 'A' listed buildings in Scotland and has been badly damaged and in desperate need of restoration.
The images below are frames from a video I made which can be viewed here:
The length of the largest building.
One of the rooms on the top floor of the main building. There was a hole that went right through here to the next floor.
I decided against walking up these.
The rain added to the eerie atmosphere around the place.
The altar was amazing, I just wish I seen it before it was broken.
The hulk was one of the main things I wanted to see but the teaching block looked worse than ever.
The face, looks a bit like Liam Gallacher.
