Random irrelevant trivia of the day, The Second Severn Bridge has never allowed for pedestrians to walk over it. Except for the day before it opened. That day was 4th June 1996 - on that day those local to it were able to walk across it if part of a charity fundraiser. Tumbles, nearly aged 16, was one of those lucky enough to do so. Walking from the English side across to the Welsh side was a unique opportunity. One thing that caught my eye that day was a big factory churning away steam/smoke to the left hand side when we walked back.

St Regis Papermill in the small village of Sudbrook was built in the 1960's and specialised in creating paper and packaging for the fruit and veg industry (Avonmouth Port is a key importer of fruit and veg from all over the world) - The mill would eventually close in 2006. Again this is one we caught too late really. It wasn't for want of trying just simply security were on it till the demo ball started wreaking. Sadly the main machine in a colossal cathedral sized building had already been yoinked out but the remains of most of the sites power plant was still intact.

Visited with Sinnerman, Riddlers, DK, Immortal Owl, I think! I recall us having to leave St Cadoc's sharpish prior to this and would then go on to Llanwern later on. Good times!

One of only a handful of people who can say they've walked over both Severn bridges mate! Good snaps also :)
