Having been forced to work all weekend i decided it wasn't gonna stop me from at least doing one little trip and ended up dong a lightning tour of a few places in Staffs i wanted to check out.

First stop was Beech caves and the saw mill next to it

Then a short hop down the road to ROF swynerton. Knowing i couldn't get onto the training area i decided to have a mooch for the old station that brought the workers in. Alas it seems to have all been developed now but i did find the old signals box.

Seeing as i was next door to the rifle range i had a quick poke round there too.

The signal box is hidden in the woods at the former station's throat.

Always wanted to go beyond the bricked up wall at the back of the cavern in Beech to explore it properly was always hoping that someone would remove a few ;)
I believe they stored munitions and local art treasures down there during the war
