History:
Standish Hospital was a former park and country house located in Standish, Gloucestershire owned by Lord Sherborne. It was taken over by the Red Cross during WW1 for soldiers sent there for recovery, it was named Standish VA hospital.

In 1921 the hospital became a Tuberculosis Sanatorium. It then went on to specialise in orthopaedic and respiratory care as well. After 1948, the hospital was taken over by the Gloucester, Stroud and the Forest Hospital Management Committee, and became a general hospital where it was enlarged substantially.

In December 2004 Standish Hospital closed. It's fate is still uncertain despite plans to turn it into a 'Social care centre' announced in 2010.

This is a really nice explore. Some of the buildings were accessible but had lots of PIRs. We also had a little cat and mouse chase with a security guard that clocked us whilst on his patrol.

I didn't get that many shots unfortunately. Tried to get one of the beautiful art deco building but didn't get round to it due to prying eyes. This is the building I mean:
