Had four mooches on the cards today but the size of stevensons ate up most of the daylight. Small word of warning though, this place is ditched, its been derelict for 6 years and sadly it has had wave after wave of pikey and chav, but on a positive side if your a colorati fan or like grafitti this will be your place. So trying to make the best of a bad job and not wasting the day, ill get on with my report. For contrast on how it looked in 2008 heres a link to the revolution's post from then, some of the photo's are still online http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/industrial-sites/47006-stevensons-dyers-ambergate-derbyshire-%96-summer-2008-a.html

History.
Set up by the Stevenson family the company constructed the factory at Ambergate in the late 19th Century the dye works provided employment to many people in Ambergate and the surrounding towns and at its peak in the 1970’s the factory employed more than 1400 people. Well known for its good working conditions...
it remained in family ownership until 1966, when it was acquired by Coats Viyella Clothing and in 2002, it became part of the Quantum Clothing Group. However due to economic conditions it was soon forced to close the plant..

also sorry for breaching the 10 pic limit, but there is an awful lot to show, even though its not worth a 300mile round treck but because its on my doorstep i'd try catch the hideous beast at its most beautiful angles.
