Back on it :-)
After a stupid amount of time not being able to get out, myself, @DdotMC and non members Gibo and Copper decided to head off into Brum.
It was after reading a report on Kingfield Heath and seeing a comment by @Speed (nice one for the hint fella, exactly as you described :-) ) that we decided to attempt this place again after failing to spot the access on out visit to Kingfield.

History
To be blunt, there isnt a lot. All i could find out is that the company were involved in importing random items, (mainly toys and hair brushes by the look of it)
The building itself was formally the Englands shoe factory, built in 1913 by F.H. Thomason.
Thats pretty much all could find .

Explore
Access to this building is not overly difficult, but is a little sketchy . Be very careful not to slip and if going at night time like we did, a good torch is essential. In fact id say that getting in is the easy part. Be warned that if you decide to take a look in here that the floor on all levels is, what can only be described as "in rag order" !!
The wooden floors and staircases in here are lethal , the rubble all over the floors is hiding huge holes and you can actually feel the movement in some places as you walk.

Just a small sample of what to expect.
On the whole , a really nice building if you can look past the trash etc, with some really nice original features in certain parts, the basement particularly being an area of interest. The lift motor room is interesting with unusual access and the view from the roof is defiantly worth seeing (I didnt risk the roof , just had a look out of the hatch , from the floor below the roof looks to be made of the same wood the floors were made of so probably very unsafe)

On with some pics. (taken with the Nikon coolpix L810 )

As iv mentioned already, if you go here, be careful and alert, try and stay around the edges of the rooms and watch the floors .
Thank you for looking. :-)

Looks pretty much the same from 8 years ago. Was there still a room full of toys on one of the upper levels?

there were bits all over the place, mainly yoyos and bike wheels lol. The upper levels are really dodgy , floors are dangerous. The pile of toys youre talking about are prob 2 floord below by now lol
