During 2nd World War and the cold war, plants of importance to Swedish national defense was required to establish an effective protection. The main task was to protect its own facility. Since protection works were part of civil defense, was the task of effective protection synonymous with "protection from harm".
The protection works include the protection of the activities and staff of the facility. Shelters were built at the plants because it was important that the facilities could proceed even under the threat of attack.
In this rock chamber appears to have been one part of shelters, and another part where you would lead the rescue work, start the air attack alarm, location maps and so on.
The plant was probably built during the 2nd World War, updated during the Cold War, the 60-70s, and then fall into oblivion... we are grateful...
The plant was in the same pristine condition both in autumn 2008 and spring 2009, although it is close to a medium-sized town, surprising...
