History:

For some reason this site is ridiculously hard to find anything on bar some planning permission applications placed last year which were denied, the building is a Grade One listed building but is in a terrible state, I’ve been visiting this place since I was a young lad it was the first place I ever explored and will always mean something to me so I thought I’d revisit as a kind of reminisce and god did it do just that it’s amazing how much these places change and how much damage people will do!
Our Visit:
We scouted the site out a few days prior due to it being in a slightly dodgy area we wanted to know a way in and the quickest way back into the city centre if we managed to run into trouble somehow (anything’s possible), we quickly found a basement window that the boards had been ripped off of and decided that would be our entry a few days later when we came back, upon finding this entry point we were spotted by a group of kids in the park no older than 8-10 years old who suddenly ran over started trying to shove us off the wall we’d climbed on and were literally trying to hang off of us and stopping us from leaving the site! (Like I said anything’s possible) After that we made the mutual decision that we’d come back during school hours to make sure that meeting never happened again because it was by far the strangest thing I’ve ever witnessed during an explore like where is stranger danger now a days?

According to https://www.insidermedia.com/insider/southwest/196-home-apartment-block-project-set-to-be-thrown-out the building is not listed but ""The site does not contain any statutory or locally listed buildings and is not located within or adjacent to a conservation area. However, the St Mary Redcliffe Church, a grade I-listed building lies 150m to the north west of the site, within the Redcliffe Conservation Area.
Oops maybe I’m wrong then teaches me for listening to the bristolpost

It doesn't mean my link is correct in content - hence I started with the word"according" but I cannot find the building listed. I'm also struggling on it's history. The refusal for planning permission can be seen at https://democracy.bristol.gov.uk/documents/s27350/1 - 18.01890.F - The Bell 7 Prewett Street.pdf and I note that on page 5 of 76 the report says "The former Taviner's Building is without architectural merit. "

Nice report this. :thumbOnly one thing I wouldn't advise and the forum does not like, is entry points being exposed ie written about. Maybe edit that bit or ask admin too

It’s a heavily battered place wasn’t thinking too much when I wrote it late last night if anyone wanted to get inside there’s easy access ways through roof and such anyone wanted to get in it wouldn’t take too much but Thankyou for looking out for me
