The Asterdale was a sports and social club which started life as the Workers Club for the nearby Celanese factory. The club closed in 2005, but the grounds are still used for football and rugby, etc.

We eventually found a way in and started out in the cellar. Someone did explain the purpose of these to me but I've since forgotten.
Upstairs to the first function room. This was particularly trashed, but not too bad considering it's been shut nigh on 15 years.
