Before, During and After : Demolition

This was my first infiltration explore

The original working mans club was founded in cc1920. The 0.35 acre lot situated in Shoeburyness along Seaview Road (a one way street) : which ran between West Road and Ness Road, two roads that have alot of commercial use and a fair bit of traffic, the Club was easily accessible continuing from the sea front heading towards Gunners Park.

The Seafront (Shoebury Common) and Shoeburyness Railway Station are both within 0.62 miles of the former family friendly club.

Sadly due to a gruelling 18 months and the recent health crisis etc.. The Eagle Clubs owners spoke to their customer, some whom were like family and delivered the heart felt news that the club no longer seemed viable and the owners reluctantly closed their doors for business forever ccJuly2021.

The Club thanked their customers for their loyalty and support as well as the many many memories over the years

It was cc 4/6/2021 when the Club announced the sad news on their Facebook Page, the staff also thanked the entertainers for all the great nights they had provided time and time again.

The historic 13,328 sq ft building and home plus lot was reportedly sold for approx £700,000.00 and worth £52.52 per sq ft. A planning request was submitted and approved..

The proposed and accepted development included *complete demolition *construction of Two Terraces a total of 9 'Townhouses'- (4x 4 bed & 5x 3 bed homes with associated recreational areas as well as allocated parking).

I kept a watchful eye on this site and did my upmost to get as man pics etc as possible.

Due to bad knees I couldn't climb to get the upstairs since the stairs had been taken out before I had the chance...
