Hello! Me again :) So here's a new find in leicester and what a great explore this was! Had my eye on the site for quite some time and it was everything i expected it to be, a really nice, clean place to go and chill out and take some photos.

First visited at the beginning of this month with Goldie87 and then later visited with mattdonut, MizFirestorm and a few others.

History:
The Haymarket Theatre was a theatre in Leicester, England, based in the Haymarket Shopping Centre on Belgrave Gate in Leicester city centre. The theatre opened in '73 and closed at the end of 2006 and has been replaced by the Curve Theatre. The last show on was Wizard of Oz starring Helena Blackman and Ceri Dupree. The venue has had a mixed history of successes and failures, suffering a brief closure from 2003 to 2004 due to financial problems. However, it is understood that the theatre drew a net profit in its final season two years later.

I'll add a few of my pics. Another one of our Leicester finds, been looking at this since it closed but finally managed to get it done this year :) It had been an awful long time since I had last set foot in the place, the last time being for a Christmas panto when I was in primary school. Its a pretty large building with many huge cavernous spaces, quite different from the usual older theatres. Some stripping took place a number of years ago for conversion into a youth centre, but work on this came to an abrupt halt in the end. The council are still looking for someone to take the building off their hands, but it seems pretty unlikely this will ever happen!
