So after a unsuccessful trip trying to find these apparent derelict houses on the A19 we came across this little pub on the side of the road, so we decided to have a look over.
We looked inside and thought is 'this place even abandoned' as it wasn't even boarderd up, however the front door was completely done in, letters from years past and old bills were left on the porch, so we decided to have a peek in and the place was fantastic.
It was still full of stuff inside, which made us question is this place closed?
Laptops, Paintings, Tills etc all just left.

After reading up about the place, it was apparently closed suddenly a couple of years ago even though it was quite a popular place. It was then it was bought last year, however the owner has pretty much just left the place to rot and very much doubt it will ever reopen.
No matter how unsuccessful a day of exploring is we always manage to find a pub....

Must have driven past this thousands of times. Hadnt realised it had recently closed. I once broke down on the A19 and limped into the carpark there waiting for the tow truck to come. Thanks for posting this.

It didn't even look closed down as the windows haven't even been boarded up, it was bought but they have just left it and did nothing with it, place is immaculate

Apparently it was bought after by a brother and sister who own a few pubs in the North East, said that it would be opened by Easter 2019,doubt that will be happening as its just been left.

Been in here many a time for a prawn sandwich. Celebrated my dad's 70th birthday here 3 years ago. Didn't even know it was shut. Always thought it was a popular place.
