Designed by architect Thomas Fulljames to originally accommodate between 60 and 200 patients, the hospital originally had its own farm and gasworks. Planned for closure by Enoch Powell during the 1960s, it was closed in sections from 1991 to 1995.
There been several reports on this location recently but my main reason for posting this is because i'm curious who was whistling to get my attention from one of the upstairs windows while I was taking photos near the silos but then didn't show themselves.
This is one place i'd like to go back to but preferable not on my own next time.
