The History (Wikipedia)
The North Wales Hospital (locally known as Denbigh Mental or Denbigh Asylum) is a Grade II listed building. Designed by architect Thomas Fulljames, building started in 1844 and completed in 1848. Once a hospital for up to 200 people with psychiatric illnesses, by the early 1900's it housed around 1,500 patients and staff. It is located in Denbigh, Denbighshire, Wales.
Designed by architect Thomas Fulljames to originally accommodate between 60 and 200 patients, the hospital originally had its own farm and gasworks. Planned for closure by Enoch Powell during the 1960's, it was closed in sections from 1991 to 1995.

While there are already lots of reports on Denbigh Asylum on here it is still an amazing place and neither me, nor my mate had been before.
We arrived before 10am with blue skies and frost on the ground. The grounds of the place are eerily silent as it's in the middle of nowhere with very few roads around it and hardly any traffic passing by. We managed to explore the whole place (as far as we know) without seeing a single person until we were walking out and we came across a dog walker. The place is in a bad state and some parts are definitely no-go areas due to parts of buildings having collapsed or looking like they're about to.
Anyway, on to the pictures....
Views from the top of the Silo
Morgue shot
Not sure what this building was??
Lots of rooms though
Goodbye Denbigh
Thanks for looking
