This airfield was home to the American 100th bomber group also known as the "Bloody Hundredth".
I spotted a sign saying 100th bomber group museum on the way back from Norwich and having an hour to spare thought I’d take a look.
First thing I spotted was the old battle headquarters which I guess dates from before the Americans arrived. I’ve seen a few of these but this was defiantly in better condition to the others, the wooden door frames were still there and so was the wiring.

Ok, maybe this isn’t strictly UE but I thought I’d share all the same. This is the first museum I’ve been to where the curator is over telling about the place before you have got out of your car.
