I've been umming and ahhing whether to post this or not as there's not really much to report that hasn't already been reported. Sod it, here goes...

I'm sure most of you know the deal with this place as there have been numerous reports on here recently.
Closed since 1994, the site has had many proposals for new industry, the most recent of which is for a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Power Plant, which was granted government approval last year. Since then, the remaining structures have been gradually cleared until only the cooling towers remain. The first of the six towers was pulled down around two months ago, but since then there has been no further movement. Contractors are still on site, camped up in a small compound near the main entrance, so I assume more demo is on its way.
Since all the interesting stuff has already gone there's not too much to photograph, but here's a few from our visit...
Didn't know whether to include this last shot as technically it's HDR, but hopefully it's acceptable...
