Whole place was driven by this beauty of a waterwheel at one time, whilst down here I was joined by an otter...

Oldest part of the site, and the point at which my 18-55mm decided to lock solid and become a 55mm prime

(I am sad to say that my resuscitation attempts later at home failed, and my lens died peacefully at 18:09 today. RIP)

Note the high up material runs - wide flat channels that the material ran along between tanks - the last ever
run of material is still there, and can be seen passing through ceramic hoops in the pic above.

View of the high level material run - taken 'blind' with camera held high over my head on tripod.

I don't know if there is such a thing as radiator porn - but if there is, this is the 'money-shot' of all shots - one dirty milf of a radiator!

And so there you have it, quite some place - it was hard to post this few pics!!

Posted in non-public because once this one hits the public consciousness it's likely to be locked down.

It's in the hands of a 'Trust' who are meant to be looking after it - sure doesn't look that way

This really was an explore of two halves, the old and the older. In the oldest part there was so much going on it was hard to see it all !

I'll get some pictures done later.

No matter how many reports appear on this site, I don't think any two will be the same.
There is just so much to see, it's difficult to take it all in, and so many different angles and shots are possible.
It's one of those places where 'a select few' will get to see it before it gets locked down!

Tell me about it - over 200 pics today - don't think I've done that for a while. Indeed I still have people pics to put up, and some animated GIFs to make.

Biggest regret of the day was the death of my lens - totally dead by the time I left.

The lens I can live without - but as I drove out of Wellington past Fox's current site there was a tailor, sat in the window, sewing - now that would have make a nice final shot!

Your right that would have made a nice shot.
I took nearly 250 shots over 2 visits, so whittling it down to 23 wasn't easy.

Have to admit, i'm a bit 'concerned/worried' what the future hold for this place

ps 21 of the 23 were taken using a 50mm prime!

I went to see the tailor this afternoon and kept him talking while Speed blatantly tried to get into his "secret factory" ;)

Just a quick 'heads up' that's already posted in other threads about the place - the existing access route has now been sealed.
