Yes, you read that correctly, and those who saw my last report where I mentioned brick porn will know that I do not fuck around when it comes to bricks. We all take them for granted, just assume they will remain in situ keeping us sheltered from the elements, without a thought to their life. I'm hoping what you will see coming up will change your perception of these marvellous structural building blocks.
As children, it is likely that we all played with Lego which should have given us all a full understanding of the significance of the humble building block in creating something beautiful. Or a multicoloured, wonky house, square looking dog etc. that you tell your children is brilliant without giving away the irony in your response. They play a fundamental part in building spatial and mechanical awareness at a young age. By teenage years, this is normally forgotten and you move on to thinking about other, far less important things.
Well, now here we are as adults and you need to get back to appreciating what significance the humble brick actually has in your life. It is likely many of you own or rent a property. What is that made of? Bricks, in a lot of cases, I would venture to suggest. They give you a place to call home, shelter from the elements and in some cases financial security. Although in recent times you may feel like you have shit one when you had your property valued. It wasn't, bricks are good, not poo.
Many of the buildings on here are made out of bricks and are things of wonder to behold. And let's not forget that ultimate man invention, the brick barbecue.
From starting their life as a gooey, soft, sticky material, to being the load rated solid block you behold every time you truly hold one, let me tell you, they are one of the most important things in your life right now and always will be.
This explore was spotted on my way home from work one day and I just couldn't control myself. I had to do a report on it as it was so stunning. So, having only my phone to use, I set about documenting this site that will have all you fellow brick lovers crossing your legs at work and refusing to stand up for a while.
