There isn't much History on this place, it is a fairly small 'TMD' (Traction Maintenance Depot) located next to Buxton Railway station. the main building consists of 2 lines that would have been used to preform nightly maintenance and cleaning to the Locomotives, the building was built by British Rail and was eventually taken over by the English, Welsh and Scottish Railway Company (EWS) during the privatisation of the railways. There are many reminders of BR within the building as a lot of notices and paperwork has the BR Arrows on it, suggesting that EWS did not spend much time or money on updating the depot before it's closure.

The outside of the depot has been fairly untouched since it closed, most of the track are still installed complete with signalling equipment and feeling points. The inside of the building is fairly trashed, there is a lot of broken glass littering the floor. Also more pairs of Thongs and Panties then an Ann Summers sale ;). There is a small 1st floor office that gives a good view of the inside of the building along with the waggon that has been left by the owners (DB Schenker).
