The Visit
Visited with @The Man In Black one brisk morning. The factory to the side of the site was active with workers in high viz jackets but we were relatively uninterrupted whilst inside this fairly sizable place. Lots of industrial filth and rust to gaze upon. We were able to get inside the clock tower building but unfortunately there's no access to the clock itself.

The History
Originally owned by Price's Patent Candle Company. In 1853, Palm oil was brought into Liverpool and so the company needed a site to use the palm oil closer to Liverpool than taking it to London by boat. The company build what is now Bromborough Pool village and opened a new factory in Bromborough. The site employed around 115 people and was part of the Uniqema acquisition in 2006.

In 2008, the business had a turnover of £45.3m and made a £2.1m operating profit. This was flattered by favourable glycerine pricing and the site made a loss in the final quarter of 2008 which has worsened into 2009, this poor performance eventually lead to the closure of the site.

What stops you getting to the clock? or is it just that the clock face isnt visible on the inside?

Some really good pics there buddy was a good industrial filth morning

Being so tired didn't help as I neglected to change some settings for a few shots and they didn't come out as well as I had hoped. Some of them came out alright though which are the ones I've posted, its not easy to make it look exciting though as the only part that was worth seeing was the industrial bit really :)
