Afternoon!

This is my first post here after looking to get in to UE for a while now.
Haven't seen anything on here about this particular place. I'm starting to doubt whether it's a good lead or not.
I drive past this place each week. I never see any life coming in or out of it. The gates never open and the grass and weeds on the front have grown phenomenally. Always wondered what lies beyond the gates.

I have my doubts, though. The windows seem well-maintained/recent.

The house also appears to back on to a golf course.

Any leads, guys?

Thanks.

I'd say that what is needed is someone that knows where this is, perhaps passes it regularly, and has an interest in UE - hmmmm, not sure who to suggest.......

Seriously mate - as you pass it, why don't you take a look?

(that being said most houses are, well, just houses, and not, therefore, particularly spectacular) (all the more reason for someone that passes it to look. :thumb)

It's a shame, I don't live particularly close to it except for when I make the weekly trip past it on a Saturday morning.

I've tried looking on some property websites to see if it may be for sale or something. Nothing. Looked at some websites detailing the surrounding area and they pay no reference to it.

Maybe somebody would have a better idea about it, fingers crossed. I might go out of my way some time in the near future and take a look. Don't like the look of the alarm, mind you! ;)

Well it is number 242 Grindley Lane, Blythe Bridge, Stoke-On-Trent ST11 9LW

It is detached, Freehold, has 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, 2 Reception rooms. Was built in 1933 and has an estimated value of £266,200

Doesn't sound too exciting - but, as you pass it every Saturday, the answer is still the same - stop, go, and look mate :thumb

I checked out the numbers and, to be honest, I think that's about right! Surprised it isn't a "named" address like homes on the other side. Still, this seems about right. Detatched, too. I'll muster up the courage and plan a trip up in the near future. I'll see if I can get a buddy to come along, too :D

TBH mate - you don't need to plan, or get a team together - just walk up and look through the windows - if it looks worth it, then go for it. - it is only a house after all.

This house is Creda House. When the factory Creda was going the directors stayed their instead of travelling miles home. I used to patrol around the house when I was security at Creda.

I've never seen a report from the Creda factory. Last time I saw it it was closed but security was on site and clocked me. What's going on there now?

Swing past Michelin on your travels while you're at it. Security on site and on the case as well.

The intel on this forum is astounding. So, what we've established is that this building is the old manager's house for the firm about 100m down the road?

Does anyone know if this PanelCo are still operating from this building? The Google Maps shows the gates open but that was in 2009 and I never get a chance to drive past during the week.

Is the manager's house still worth a nosey?
