So a couple months back, after failing at St Josephs orphanage, we travelled through the park towards Vernon Mill for some pics, and on the way we came past these two really nice looking building, both definitely abandoned. One was a huge red brick castle looking thing, which reminded me of Birkdale School in Southport, whilst the other a 6-7 story office building.
So obviously we were curious so we had a look around both, nothing was smashed but there was no attempt of protection on either buildings, hence if there was an access point, we would have gotten in. The only interesting thing that slightly turned us down from going full for it was signs on most of the windows saying 'police dogs train here' etc, and seen as I had no idea what the building was, we decided not to risk it. Although, we did climb the uncovered outer staircase to the top of the red brick building, all we got was a nice view and a clearer look inside. All we could see was an empty room which part of wall destroyed, as if by like a riot shield or some shit.
After asking my Mum about the site as I distinctly remembered her saying she works nearby, she said she used to work in that buildings! and that it had closed down recently and she was relocated.
I'd be willing to go again to perhaps try harder or look more, but I was wondering if anyone else had any information on it, so I could do further research. The red brick especially is a beautiful building, and if it was accessible, it looks like it would be cool inside.
