Samyang, Rokinon & Bowers 8mm fisheye are the exact same lens so no reason why not tbf. Someone more informed may give a definitive answer though.

Yeah, fairly certain they all come out of the same South Korean factory and then sold on to other distributor companies who stick a name on it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samyang_Optics
They reckon (TOGS Forums) that the Samyangs have the better quality control/quality over the other ones . As if "A" grade goes to Samyang and the others fight over the rest ?

But that said i"ve had 2 duff ones out of 3 that won"t Infinity focus, which is shit for a MF lens and these issues shouldn"t be happening in this day and age. But the NET"s full of stuff about the issues and repairs ( which made no difference to mine )

The new range of Samyang pro lenses are quality glass & highly recommended BTW The Tilt-shift one looks nice, you can make the Tour Bus parked outside a Derp look really tiny along with all the tiny little freak Show Perp"s rushing in ;)

Best advice is buy from a shop you can try it in or cross your fingers. Check returns policy out before purchase. Amazon stopped selling them at one point due to the high amount of returns.

Haha I got a cheap China fisheye, piece of crap but it does what it needs to do. Only sharp at the edges at F8. Funny thing is that the focus ring on it says 5ft is the same as 1 meter. :D

Just seen a load of military SealSkinz socks for sale on Ebay for £20 including postage. Cheapest I've seen them for a while...

Small UK 3-5 http://goo.gl/1bSqwE

Medium UK 6-8 http://goo.gl/WCmv0a

Large UK 9-11 http://goo.gl/WUtIzS

They are used army surplus, but I've never seen a rubbish pair, and I've bought maybe 30 pairs in the past.

These socks are brilliant for exploring, will always keep your feet dry even if the water is up your legs a bit. Can also be used for hill walking, kayaking, anything outdoors.

Highly recommended bit of kit.

Those black MVP are awful in comparison, it's like wearing ill-fitting bin liners.

They aren't the same as the SealSkinz I just posted.

MVP isn't a brand either - it means 'Moisture Vapour Permeable' ie breathable.

They are the forerunners to the Green and Black military sealskins.

Learn something new every day! I was told that the MVP ones were exactly the same as the proper brand. I still think they're dead good but as I've not tried the proper ones I have no comparison. Ill fitting bin liners is actually quite a good description! lol

NEW - HAIX HIGH LIABILITY GORETEX BOOTS

haix high liability boot (Small).JPG

You can't go wrong with these. I've got a pair myself, and they're the best boots I have ever owned, and I've probably owned a pair of everything.

They take a while to break in, but even when they're broken in, the toebox is still sturdy and the ankle support solid.

You might even think they're too good for this game to be honest, but the price is right for a pair of boots that will last for many years...

Note: There are many of these available used, and apart from ergonomics, you can see the the troops actually POLISH these, ruining the breathability. Don't touch them with a barge pole.
