Another beautiful Maine summer morning so I decided to head out on my Cycle toward Parsonsfield where there is an old Woolen Mill. Originally started in 1880 it was a major employer in this rural part of Maine until it closed in the 1990’s, when it was no longer able to compete with cheap foreign goods. I was there a year or two ago but thought it was time to go back as supposedly its going on the auction block next month, although doubt that it will garner much interest.
I couldn’t pass up stopping and taking a picture of this wreck of an old store

View out over the river. In the day this place ran both off the power house and hydro power
