Hi everyone!
I'm new to the UK urbex scene but I've done quite a few explorations in Switzerland, so I figured I'd start by posting those!

Abandonned railway:

Abandonned around 2015 and still very unknown even from the swiss explorers! I kinda found this one by luck

Disused power plant in the mountain:

There's really too much to say about this one. Initially a petrol power station built in 1965 to burn the heavy oil residues from the nearby refinery, disused in 1999.
In the following years, a project of converting it into a natural gas power station is under study until 2009 when the decontamination and conversion work start, but is then stopped until ~2016 when the project is completely abandonned due to new ecological laws making it not profitable enough.
The particularity of the site is that it's in a remote location far away from the nearest town and contains its own little (abandonned) town originally built as houses for the station/construction site crew. It also has a 120m high chimney and 3cooling towers. it's HUUUUGE

Old squat/house:

A house that appeared to have been formerly squatted but is now in very poor condition

Hotel:

A hotel soon to be destroyed and replaced by appartments. Unfortunately despite having tried hard several times I never got inside.

I have to find the other remaining photos but I'll update this thread when done. Still missing an old sanatorium

(part 3)
I couldn't find how to edit the first posts, so here's a part 3:

Sanatorium:

one of Switzerland's most well-known spots, it was built in 1894 to treat tuberculosis patients, then converted into an hotel in the 50s before being left to rot in 2002.
A project of reaffectation was considered for 2016 but the construction never started and will probably never, given the current condition of the building.
Because of its history, it quickly became an almost legendary spot in Switzerland and it was not long before it got completely vandalized. Almost nothing left to see now but still a cool place for those who like extreme decrepition

I think that's all! I'll be back with some spots in UK when I have something that's worth a post in here :)
