History
On March 22, 1968 restaurant Marquette opens its doors.
In the following years the business grew into a famous restaurant and a hotel with nine luxury rooms. Famous guests such as Charles Aznavour, Lance Armstrong and even King Albert II regularly visit.
The restaurant was awarded a Michelin star in 1976. The business can show it off for 15 years until it loses the star in 1991.

In 2008, after 40 years of service, the owners decide to leave the hotel restaurant.
A French top chef and his wife took over the business and renamed the Villa Marquette.
However, things quickly go wrong.
The debts accumulate and in 2011 they go bankrupt. The operators are sentenced in 2013 for breaches of the Bankruptcy Act.

Later in 2016, a buyer finally arrives for the domain.
A property developer wants to demolish the former restaurant and build 18 villas there.
The company receives a building permit, but after complaints from a few local residents it would have been destroyed in November 2017 ( wich it was not ).
So it is still what the future brings for Villa Marquette.

Our Story

all the main entryways are locked but getting in is not that hard.
The building stands in the middle of a high end residential area
If you do go there i would ask to stay away from the windows, the building is connected to somebody's garden and they do call police
