Yeah, open source code seems kinda contradictory in security terms, But with a couple of thousand (hundreds of thousand?) sets of eyes watching the code , testing it's functions, I'd think it'd be a little more difficult to "pull a fast one". Articles on open vs. closed code are quite plentiful. As OT mentioned in the post about Win 10, Hackers don't care about or need the source code, just the chinks in system.
