Wellman have been around for over a century, making cranes, winches, furnaces and lots of other big heavy engineering. This works is over 100 years old, with a handsome 1950's office block at it's front. Inisde is as 50's as you like, with formica, frosted glass and wood paneling rife throughout!
Wellman was another example of somewhere that was hiding the goods, and just took a keen eye to find them... Photographs, promotional material and 100 year old paperwork were all tucked in their hidey-holes waiting to be found!
The mural on the wall would have been something else in its day. Sadly only about 1/5th has survived the damp

I found this bottle of sherry, and it smelt nice, so I took a swig. Dave followed suit. The initial taste was nice, followed by the overpowering bitter taste of mould. We both ended chucking up after retching for a while. Just typing this is making me heave...
