Finally i took a drive up to West Park in the pouring rain, explored this with patch, chubbs and statler.
Didnt know what to expect but i had a big smile on when we left, it was amazing

History
West Park Hospital was originally commissioned by London County Council as the 11th London County Asylum in 1906, and although ready to accept patients by 1917 its opening was delayed due to being used for the war effort, so did not start accepting civilian patients until 1923.The hospital was one of the last great asylums to be built in England, and was designed by William Clifford-Smith.
By 2003 most of the hospital stood unused except some of the rear wards on the male side. A series of arson attacks in that year damaging some of the disused female wards, and completely gutting the main hall helped in making the decision to move the few remaining patient services out of the main hospital building. Now only the outlying buildings and one ward block (now a lab) are still in use by
With the completion of demolition work at St. Ebbas Hospital imminent, work is expected to begin at West Park in the near future

Hope you enjoy the pics!
